No one likes to even think about their furry friend being sick. When the event does occur and your pet needs treatments we have a wide range of diagnostic tools readily available. We provide imaging services, laboratory services, and microscopy services.
Our direct image digital x-ray machine is the latest in radiographic technology. The enhanced detail and image manipulation capabilities allow us to see problems more clearly and make faster and more accurate diagnosis. An environmental plus with the new technology decreases the radiation exposes for your pet and is environmentally friendly. There are no harmful chemicals to throw out, no old x-ray films to dispose of and no harmful, or toxic chemical exposure to our staff or you’re pet. We also have ultra sound diagnostic imaging capabilities with a color Doppler imaging.
We have an in house blood analyzer for evaluating basic blood chemistries prior to surgery or in emergency situations. Our well trained technicians can perform fecal testing to check for parasites or check for a variety of bacterial infections. Additionally our staff can test for urinary tract infections, urinary crystals, diabetic blood or urine tests evaluations, Feline Leukemia Virus, Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, Feline Panleukopenia Virus and Canine Parvo Virus testing is available. We have two microscopes that are used for a variety of different things: fecal slides to detect parasites in your pet's stool, skin scrape slides to look for any bacteria or mites, and blood smears to count the platelets in your pet's system. These are a great way to diagnose many different things and also make for great show and tell when describing your pet's illness.
